Phyllis and her son Bishop survive after the plane in which the two are flying to Italy to see director Howard, her husband and Bishop's father, crashes. During the five years they spend on a beach, the mother and the son, the latter becoming a cannibal, establish a very close relationship. Returned home, the father-son and wife-lover relationships undergo dramatic changes. An unconventional story about the frailty of the human being in critical situations, a black comedy with oedipal accents.
