The German State Theater Timișoara wishes to inform you that the new Interim Manager of the institution is Ioana Iacob. She is a graduate of Acting Department at the German section of the Faculty of Music and Theater of the West University Timisoara. She is part of the theater’s artistic personnel, as an actress, since 2001.

Ioana Iacob has past experience as Interim Manager of the theater, as she has occupied this position between May and November 2016, when she organized the sixth edition of Eurothalia International Festival. Among the international companies which were invited then, we mention Hebbel am Ufer Berlin, Kampnagel Hamburg, FFT Düsseldorf & brut Wien; Teatrul Evreiesc Ester Rachel Kamińska și Ida Kamińska (Polonia); NTGent (Belgia); Rimini Apparat & HAU / Hebbel am Ufer Berlin (Germania); Puppentheater Halle & DACM (Germania & Franța); El Local E.C./Festival Clásicos en Alcalá/C.A.E.T. Terrassa (Spania); Matarile Teatro, AGADIC (Spania); dollar daddy’s (Ungaria); Teatrul Maxim Gorki (Germania), the majority being at their first Romanian tour.

The artistic repertoire of Ioana Iacob spreads stretches almost two decades, time spent on national and international stages. She has worked with influent Romanian and foreign directors: Alexandu Dabija, Gábor Tompa, Florin Fieroiu, Sergiu Matiş, László Bocsárdi, Radu Nica, Yuri Kordonski. She has also worked in film, most notably in Radu Jude`s productions: Îmi este indiferent dacă în istorie vom intra ca barbari and Tipografic Majuscul.
