The German State Theatre in Timişoara (GSTT) presents the acclaimed musical "The Sound of Music". The music composed by Richard Rodgers will enchant the audience on Sunday, June 13th 2009 from 7 p.m. on the GSTT stage.
The lyrics are the creation of Oscar Hammerstein II, and the stage adaptation is the work of Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse.
On the unforgettable chords of the songs "Do-Re-Mi", "My Favourite Things" or "Edelweiß" the audience will watch unfold the beautiful love story between the widower captain von Trapp, grouch and commanding, and governess Maria, a former novice at the monastery, called upon to look after the officer's seven children.
